Description of project

The strategic project Socio-economic condition and evaluation of the Romania-Bulgaria Cross-Border Area between 2009 – 2015 will contribute to the general objective of the strategy „To bring together the people, communities and economies of the Romania-Bulgaria border area to participate in the joint development of a cooperative area, using its human, natural and environmental resources and advantages in a sustainable way.” 

The created model (statistical-sociological) will make possible knowing the citizens’ perception and identifying the most efficient sollution to bring them together and to develop joint projects and actions, thus contributing to achieving the programme general objective.

• Supporting the development of cross-border ICT based information resources, cooperation and networking;
• Extending community access to cross border information and communication;
• Improve the public awareness on environmental management and protection;
• Support for a cross-border sharing of information on employment opportunities;
• Support for development of civil society and local communities.
