In Silistra, Vidin and Svishtov will be held round tables for public and expert discussion on the project "Development and promotion of a joint cultural and historical tourist product: Route" Roman border on the territory of the cross-border region Romania-Bulgaria ", registration number 15.2.1.067 . The project is implemented by the Association of Danube River Municipalities and is funded through the Interreg V-A Romania-Bulgaria Cross Border Cooperation Program 2014-2020. A Romanian partner is the Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Navigation and Agriculture - Constanta.

The aim of the project is to contribute to the enhancement of the sustainable use of the common cultural heritage within the cross-border region by developing and promoting a new integrated tourism product in the field of cultural heritage: Route "Roman border on the territory of Romania-Bulgaria cross-border region".

An expert preliminary study of the Roman cultural heritage throughout the cross-border region was carried out within the project. The study led to the development of an optimal variant of a cultural and historical tourist route in the area of Roman heritage. We are currently working on two strategic documents - for development, improvement and innovation, as well as for marketing and promotion of the route.

For broad consultations with stakeholder and the expert community, round tables are organized - 5 in Bulgaria and 5 in Romania. They will lead to selection of a consensus option for the vision for development of the cultural and historical tourist route.

We count on your participation and your expert contribution to the realization of this project!
