The acting Minister of Y&S visited Silistra

The acting Minister of Youth and Sports, Mrs. Evgenia Radanova, met with the Mayor of Silistra, Dr. Yulian Naydenov, on Tuesday, September 30^th, 2014.

Dr. Naydenov presented to the Minister the athletic achievements of athletes from Silistra in different disciplines. The mayor mentioned the commitments that the municipal administration has towards the management, maintenance and renovation of its sports facilities and equipment. Dr. Naydenov did not hide his desire to create new playing areas and playgrounds in different neighborhoods of the city and in the villages where young people can be actively engaged in sports.

Municipal Administration - Silistra has developed and submitted projects under different programs:

- Sports hall “Drustur” – Maneja, 444 906.90 lv.;

- Covered running track – stadium “Louis Ayer”, 164 255.46 lv.;

- Tennis court and indoor swimming pool, 46 755 lv.;

- Sports center on “Stara Planina” street, 53 237.04 lv.

Dr. Naydenov thanked Mrs. Radanova for the institutional and practical assistance that the Ministry of Youth and Sports has given at different levels for the project implementation which can renovate and modernize the places for playing sports.
