A workshop was held within the EcoDaLLi project

On June 7, the first workshop for interested parties was held within the framework of the EcoDaLLi Project, financed under the Horizon Europe Program. The event, entitled "To restore our ocean and waters - EcoDaLLi Project as part of the Danube and Black Sea Lighthouse", was coordinated by ICLEI Europe and the Association of Danube River Municipalities "Danube". It took place as part of the program of the 30th International Symposium "Deltas & Wetlands" in Tulcea, Romania, organized by the National Institute "Danube Delta" - a partner of the Association of Danube River Municipalities "Danube" and part of the EcoDaLLi Project implementation consortium .
The workshop brought together over 30 participants who identified gaps, interconnections and challenges, proposed concrete actions and discussed opportunities to empower local communities to stimulate innovation in the Danube Delta and Black Sea region. The event put the regional and local focus on the current spatial development policies in the EU in the context of the different landscape typologies of the Danube Delta and the Black Sea region, with the aim of aligning with the three main objectives of the European Commission's Mission Ocean and Waters Missionoceanwaters: increased biodiversity and sustainability, control and prevention of water pollution, circular and blue economy.
