EcoDaLLi developed a system of living labs
To support the objectives of the EC Mission Ocean and Waters and achieve the expected results, the EcoDaLLi project has developed a system of living labs to mobilize stakeholders from the public, private and non-governmental sectors. After two labs were organized and held in May in the Romanian city of Tulcea on the topics of biodiversity and water systems, the event in the city of Osijek (Croatia) discussed topics related to climate change. The fourth "living lab" in the city of Ulm (Germany), with an emphasis on the Danube innovation ecosystem, clearly showed the importance of combining ecology and economy both for the purposes of scientific research activities and for the practice. What all the events have in common is that they managed to provide a platform to present the current activities, disseminate the project results and create interaction with other projects along the Danube, EU institutions and significant regional initiatives. Living labs build the foundation for co-creating diverse solutions and achieving sustainable impact.
As a participant in all formats and a partner in the EcoDaLLi project, the Association of Danube River Municipalities "Danube" was given the opportunity to promote itself to stakeholders and potential partners from the entire Danube macro-region, as well as to proactively engage in the implementation of EU water policies pools by 2030
