Association of Danube River Municipalities "Danube" took part in the 13th edition of the established International Danube Festival in the German cities of Ulm and Neu-Ulm (5-14.07.2024). The event takes place every two years and within 10 days presents 10 Danube countries through diverse opportunities to experience their culture, dance, literature, culinary traditions, music, nature and crafts. The festival is organized by the Danube Bureau and is located on both banks of the Danube River - one is located in Ulm, Baden-Württemberg, and the other - in Neu-Ulm, Bavaria. In this way, as the organizers claim, the International Danube Festival is a showcase of the international Danube partnership and cultural meetings. The focus is on unity in diversity, the idea of cultural cooperation in Europe and strengthening cohesion in the Danube region.

The Association of Danube River Municipalities "Danube" and EcoDaLLi project partners had the opportunity to view the cultural exhibition and enjoy some of the highlights of the festival program. This became possible because at the same time the fourth "living lab"/living lab for the Upper Danube took place in the city of Ulm, organized by Steinbeis Europa Zentrum in partnership with Priority Area 8 of the EU Strategy for the Danube Region.
