ADRM "Danube" at ITB Berlin 2017

On March 8th, the largest tourism fair - the ITB Berlin 2017 International Tourism Fair - was opened in Berlin. An official delegation of mayors and representatives of municipal councils from the Danube municipalities in Bulgaria took part in the event. Dr. Yulian Naydenov, Mayor of Silistra Municipality, Dr. Dimitar Stefanov, Mayor of Tutrakan Municipality, Ms. Yanka Gospodinova, Mayor of Alfatar Municipality, Mr. Bojidar Borisov, Mayor of Dve Mogili Municipality and Mr. Tsvetomir Petrov , Deputy Mayor of Tsenovo Municipality, presented the various opportunities for recreation and tourism offered by their municipalities. The Association of Danube River Municipalities (ADRM) was represented with its own stand, promoting natural and cultural-historical landmarks, routes and events in the region.

The specialized fair is one of the leading events in the world of the travel industry, which annually gathers representatives of over 180 countries from 5 continents and is visited by more than 170 000 people. The program of the exhibition includes meetings, discussions and forums, presenting and discussing current trends, problems, challenges and opportunities in tourism sector. Regional, national and international tourism organizations, tour operators and travel agencies, hotel owners, tourist attractions, media, information agencies and publishers take part in the tourism fair.

The working visit and the information stand, organized by ADRM "Danube", are part of the long-term strategy of the organization to promote an unified vision for the development of tourism in the Danube region and to promote the related potential at regional, national and international level.
