First regional meeting on the DaWetRest project

The Bulgarian partners of the international project "Restoration of Danube wetlands and floodplains through systemic, community-engaged and sustainable, innovative activities" (DAnube WETlands RESToration) will hold its first regional meeting with representatives of local authorities and stakeholders, which will be held on April 25, 2024, from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., at the Natural History Museum - Srebarna Reserve, Srebarna village, Silistra Municipality. The event is organized by the Institute for Climate, Atmosphere and Water Research at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, Association of Danube River Municipalities "Dunav", Ruse University "Angel Kanchev", the Regional Inspectorate for Environment and Water - Ruse and Skortel Ltd.
Within the framework of the event, the focus will be placed on the restoration of wetlands and the management of biodiversity along the Lower Danube, more specifically on the selected pilot site in Bulgaria - the Kalimok-Brushlen protected area.
