General Assembly of the ADRM "Danube"

Today, April 21^th, the General Assembly of the Association of Danube River Municipalities "Danube" was held in Ruse. It was attended by the Chairman of the Managing Board and Mayor of Ruse Municipality Mr. Plamen Stoilov, members of the Management Board and delegates of the member municipalities.

The General Assembly adopted the Activity Report of the Association, the Budget Report and the Controller's Report for 2016. The Annual Work Plan and Draft Budget for 2017 were also approved. The results achieved in 2016 on the four main directions of the Association's activities were presented: Management and organizational development; Advocacy and protection of interests, strategic planning and project implementation.

According to the Statute of the organization and in view of the expired term of the members of the Management Board and the Controller, the latter were dismissed from office and responsibility. A new composition of the Management Board was held. The Mayor of Rousse Municipality, Mr. Plamen Stoilov, was re-elected as a Chairman and for members were elected representatives of the municipalities of Belene, Svishtov, Nikopol, Tsenovo, Silistra, Dve Mogili, Tutrakan and Dolna Mitropolia. The newly elected Management Board has a two-year mandate.
