ADRM received funding under CBC RO-BG 2014-2020

The Association of Danube River Municipalities ‘Danube’ (ADRM) received funding of four projects under the Programme for Cross-Border Cooperation Interreg VA Romania-Bulgaria 2014-2020. The decision was taken at the third meeting of the Programme’s Monitoring Committee on 15 October 2015. ADRM’s projects are within the three priority axes of the programme, open for application by 30 June 2015: ‘A well connected region’, ‘A green region’ and ‘A secure region’.

The projects selected for funding in the first call for applications are 36 soft projects with a total value of  almost 25 million euro.

The projects, which ADRM will implement within Interred VA in the next two years are as follows:

Priority axis 1: A well connected region

Project: Investigation of opportunities for reducing the TEN-T network use within the cross-border region of Romania-Bulgaria through optimazition of the freight and passanger transport and the development of a joint mechanism for support of the intermodal connections

Romanian partner: The Ecological Initiative and Sustainable Development Group Foundation

Priority axis 2: A green region

Project: Development and promotion of an integrated cultural heritage tourism product: Route "Roman frontier within the cross-border region Romania-Bulgaria

Romanian partner: Constanta Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Shipping and Agriculture (CCINA Constanta)

Project: Development and promotion of a common natural heritage tourism product: Route "Protected natural heritage within the cross-border region Romania-Bulgaria

Romanian partner: ‘Living Nature’ Foundation (LNF)

Priority axis 3: A secure region

Project: Development and adoption of a joint institutionalized partnership on risk management on excessive proliferation of insects affecting public health and safety within the cross-border region Romania-Bulgaria
